Different Bed Sizes

You need to know the size of your bedroom whenever you go to buy a bed. There are many standard sizes available in the market, but sadly the standard sizes may have different dimensions in different countries.

You cannot completely rely on the manufacturers “standard sizes”. They might add or reduce come inches according to their preference.

Beds are given their sizes depending on the dimension of the mattress. The exact dimension of the bed must be checked before you buy it because this will have a bearing on the layout of your bedroom furniture, as well as the type of bedding you buy.

Some standard sizes available today include:

Twin / Single: 39" x 75". Ideal for guest rooms.

Twin Extra Long: 39" x 80". Provides ample leg room.

Full / Double: 54" x 75". It is not wide enough for two people, in our opinion.

Queen: 60" x 80". Comfortable for two adults.

Super king size bed: 76" x 80". Larger than the queen, and the best option for two adults.
